RE:  ROGER HEDGECOCK SHOW / 18 AUGUST 2011

Alan --  You have to be the consummate, intransigent, knucklehead of all times to imply that everything is the fault of Republicans, and incessantly cite policies of past Republican presidents, in totally different eras and circumstances, as if they are applicable now, as a reason for the predicaments in which we find ourselves, even though the irresponsible majority in power from 2007 through 2010 was comprised of progressive, socialist Democrats.

Here's your sign!

The concepts you inveterately embrace are nonsense and defy all logic and rational thought.

On the subject of reducing the cost of energy, how can you justify the fact that we have the potential to exploit domestic natural resources, e.g. oil removed from our own lands and contiguous continental waters for the price of $30 / bbl to our own refineries for processing and distribution, in lieu of paying O.P.E.C. sources for the same commodity at a price of $90 / bbl?  At an average consumption of 5 million bbls. / day (60% of total requirement), this amounts to a savings of approximately $300 million / day or $109.5 billion / year minimum.  Boom!  Keep in mind the additional jobs which would be created in the process, the natural stimulus to our local economies, private capital returned to local markets, which would immediately inspire confidence among investors and free up consumer loans and credit.  Why do you ignore this?

Who bears responsibility for the aforementioned, ongoing, oppressive policies?  George W. Bush?  NOT SO!

It is clear, Mr. Colmes, you have no clue what main reasons are responsible for loggerheads between the PP-POTUS (palatine, poseur President) regime and Republicans in Congress.  Republicans' unwillingness to negotiate centers on the fact that Democrats are unwilling to change direction to one of reducing spending, i.e. policies which are demanded by 80% of the people of these United States, not to mention the fact if we continue to follow the progressive socialist agenda and status-quo fiscal policies, our economy will be totally destroyed and the United States, as we know it, will cease to exist in very short order.

End of story.
